Pre-Honeymoon Trip Hatched

Ok.. today is 17 October, I finally breezed through the week of rushing work and manuals, well, as well as the countless episodes of my canto-serial 家好月圆 I am catching until late at nights. Guilty but J is more guilty, he has been really 'ON' catching more episodes per night compared to me.. We have been marathon-ing from 溏心风暴 all the way to 家好月圆. GOSH! We are mad!

Alright, back to the TRIP. I guessed it all started with me asking one night if J'd ever bring me for a Honeymoon, his answer was an assuring, "Did you think I wouldn't bring you if I have the means?". Followed by a few gentle-but-resentful comments I made that friends could always go on several trips per year and we could never. I was guilty.

Soon after J said to me we would go for a short trip from 3 Oct to 5 Oct as those were the days he would be released off the previous company and before he commenced work at the current company. I was delighted and asked him to plan it.

He came up with a few plans, all resorts in Malaysia and Indonesia. First he suggested a beautiful resort in Port Dickson. He was excited explaining the plan to me BUT I could not deny or hide the fact that I don't like resort holidays, I'd always prefer city or urban holidays. Thus with the budget we both had, it was only either HK or Bangkok. But of course, Malaysia.. but none of us are ever interested in holiday there. Our previous trips were always Genting Highlands and until recently, Bangkok.

I have been really feeling Bangkok-overdosed this year. Went there with J last Oct, then with company last Mar Oct and again with J's family last April. Though J knew I had always wanted to go Taiwan other than Bangkok, we could not fork out the time this round, or the money.

So... Hong Kong it is! 去香港!!! Will be be like the TV commercial; 买东西, 吃东西, 买东西, 吃东西? The last time I went to Hong Kong, I was still young, couldn't remember much except I was with Mum and Dad. Was like some 14 years ago. So this time round I was pretty excited as we had been catching those HK serials, so, HK would seemed familiar and a new city for me to feel excited and curious with compared to Bangkok which I had been a million times.

We went to a few Tour Agencies to check out prices.. in the end, J decided to book everything ALA Carte online. In the end, we managed a deal of $800 per person for Flight by Singapore Airlines and good accommodation with Citadines by Ascot Group.
