We took a short rest & headed out to town at about 2-ish (SIN time 3-ish). Famished yet excited!
.
Hailed a cab at the Lobby & we told Door man our destination - MBK. The cabby took us, made a turn to the main road & dropped us off! Gosh.. Think he was trying to tell us to get into the other cabs that were stopped by the roadside. So we got into one & told him again - MBK.
.
I found it really difficult when there was presence of language barrier. Though ran by meter, the cabby was trying hard to explain something to us while on the way which we could not understand. He was saying something like, "40 BHT?" So for a moment we didn't understand if he wanted the B40 for the whole trip or what. He did not get angry nor frustrated. The nice cabby made a phone call from his cell phone & got someone else to explain to us in English. What e had actually wanted to say was that, he would be using the highway & we had to pay him the toll of B40 on top of the meter fare. Though he looked dark & fierce, I still find him friendly & patience. I must say though, Jason got alittle defensive while trying to find out what the man was saying.. I guessed he must have freaked out in the foreign land too.
.
From that one, we never gotten into any cabs in Bangkok.
.
We got to MBK in a piece. Hunted for food & found this.
A very interesting Jap+Korean+Thai BBQ restaurant. We ordered sashimi, meat & seafood for BBQ & the whole meal didn't cost us more than S$30. Jason kept exclaiming it was so cheap!.
Besides the fact that it was indeed cheap, it was exceptionally delicious!!!! I didn't even mind the smell on my clothes or body!
.
After that it was all shop shop shop at MBK, Siam Square, Little Siam, Siam Center, Siam Paragon!
.
I saw a SHOPPING MONSTER being unleashed from Jason's body & it was furious!
.
We went for a movie at the Siam Paragon Theatre because I was very tired & thought the cinema could let me rest my legs & body... We caught the movie Stardust staring Michelle Phiefer, Robert Deniro etc.. I didn't like the movie, it was a lullaby to me perhaps I was too tired.
.
It was pouring when the movie ended & we had decided to retire in the hotel & ordered some nice ROOM SERVICE! Live like a queen, eat like a queen!

I ordered a Rice Noodles in Clear Soup with Pork. I like the soupy food in Thailand as they always carry a teeny weeny bit of sour taste that refreshes your taste buds! It was light & delicious for a 11pm dinner!
.
Jason ordered a Beef Burger. It was huge & he exclaimed it was delicious too! It only costs us B240 which is about S$10.
.
I went to bed early.. was too tired. WENT TO BED feeling too HAPPY to be in Bangkok!
