We took the 6:30am flight from the Singapore Budget Terminal. It is my first time at our own Budget Terminal. I would not say I was totally impressed by the place perhaps I am too used to travelling from the main Terminal. I was alittle disappointed when I arrived at the small, empty terminal. The only time I was at a Budget Terminal was in Kuala Lumpur when I was taking a flight out to Penang by Air Asia.
.
People started to form queue in front of check-in counters way before the counters were opened. WHy? Singaporean? Yes they all were. We had to join the queue 'of uncertainty'. I was sleepy & alittle grumpy because I had to wake up at 3am & I only crawled into bed at 12am.
.
But I was wide awake after we checked in & Jason said we could eat the HANS there at the Terminal. Hungry & sleepy, I was thrilled it was HANS & not something else. I love the scrambled eggs HANS served & their daily set breakfast of Scrambled Eggs & Sausage is my all-time favourite. So at 5:30am, I was having my breakfast.. this is going to be a long day.
.Touched down at the new Thai International Airport at 8:30am (7:30am Sin time). You won't believe it BUT we were both hungry.. again. I called my dad, whom was supposed to meet us there then we went for a quick bite at one of the eatery at the Airport. THAI food was on our mind since it was also Jason's first trip to Thailand.
See his eyebags & rings? *giggles*.
Daddy drove us to the Hotel after that for us to check-in. By the time we reached the Hotel, it was about 10:30am & we were pretty lucky the room was ready for us. Here's snap shots of the wonderful hotel. Thanks to daddy the hotel room was really comfortable.
It was big, spacious, wonderful bath with a separate shower as well as tub & see-through from the bedroom. NICE! We also had the usual like coffee & tea making facilities, fridge & a safe. Because he booked us an Executive Room, we also enjoyed free Wi-Fi in the room which was cool we could surf the net whenever we wanted. (thank you daddy!)
I also took pictures of the hotel like the cafe we had our breakfast at every morning. Though the hotel was far from places like MBK & town, it was a quiet & peaceful business hotel; without holidaying parents & noisy children, mostly men on business trips.
.
The hotel gave us complimentary Welcome Drinks but we had to claim them at the Lobby Bar, so we all went there for a drink.
.
Here's my ageing & shrinking Daddy at the Lobby Bar with us.

It's nice to be able to spend some undisturbed time with Daddy. Whenever he is back in Singapore, we would always be busy working & our schedule are difficult to allow us to get together. So this trip to Bangkok has also given me some time to spend with him though not significantly - I am quite contented. Being the hospitable person he always is, he welcomed us to Thailand like it was his own home, especially towards Jason. It was a really wonderful feeling.
.
He left us after the coffee & told us he'd be back to take us out for lunch on Friday. I haven't got the chance to take picture with him yet.
.
We went up to take our shower then headed out to the City!
