Since the confirmation of the trip, we both knew what we were going to do and spend on there; noticed 'shopping' is not on the list and we managed to fulfilled all the points and more. *laughs*
- Stocking up on my One-Day contact lens
- Stocking up on Revolution (for my dog)
- Chill out and relax
- Visit Som Tam many times
I have been really drained out rushing work deadlines and manuals, rushing to evening classes on weekdays, immersing in full day courses, completing assignments to meet deadlines, composing myself for assessment interviews, working on weekends to repay off days I took to attend my weekday courses and juggling with the negative mental state that some colleagues may be feeling I have been so-out-of-the-scene and missing-from-the-field (that is extremely tormenting) and of course, also balancing whatever spare time I have between our 2 lovely families. This trip was supposed to be the few days where I could shut down, hibernate and do brainless stuff.
.
For J, he needs a break away from work as well as the financial commitment we recently dived into after getting our very own HDB flat.. YES we bought a resale just a block away. Will talk more about this in the other blog.
.
Wee booked the earliest flight in on Friday, 22 May.
Our departure time was 7.15am and we were to be in the airport by 5am, for breakfast of course. We both dislike rushing and would like to have enough time. J only went to bed at 2am and up by 4am and me, knocked out at 1am and woke at 4am too. It had been a busy week rushing from classes, meeting the agent and bank representative regarding loan etc. Plus the fact that I worked through the previous weekend with no rest days.
.
However so, we were very lucky our Papa sent us to the airport at 5am and my Daddy also sms to ask if we need a ride back though we did not want to trouble him as our flight back is going to be really late and he'd need to work the next morning... we are very fortunate children. *happy*
.
We had a slow breakfast at Killiney Kopitiam as not much choices due to the timing. Too early and most shops were not opened. I had wanted my usual sumptuous breakfast at Coffee Bean but strange, they seem to have changed their breakfast menu and not what I fancy.

As usual, I had my Mee Rebus and J, his Mee Siam. :) Nothing much to mention about their service standard at that early hour though. *bleh....*
The flight Jetstar 3K 511 was unusually quiet and at the most, 75% filled up. What M mentioned was right, less people travelling to Bangkok and less tourists visible there.
.
When we touched down, we were starved. I hate waking up extraordinarily early as you'd definitely consume many more meals than usual!
.
We stopped over at Black Canyon Coffee for quickie breakfast as we were too early to check in anyway. I also need my eggs!

J ordered a Teriyaki Chicken Burger with his all-time favorite Thai Iced Tea and me, of course, eggs, toast sausages and J had the privilege of taking away the Bacon I didn't want. Not forgetting - my Americano.
.
All sleepy and unglam with dark eye rings and no makeup and curls on hair, I refused to be in any pictures. We went to get a cab after the meal.
