23 May - Day 2

Today must be an exciting day for J..... he'd get his Som Tam today! Yeay! *lol*
.
We rose pretty early. I didn't get to sleep much and well as the hubby snored loudly as he was sooo tired and so I was left drifting in and out of my sleep with the rhythm of the 'noises'!
.
By 7.30am we were up and dressed for breakie. Eager to see what they were offering, we went down to the cafe. NOT TOO BAD.. well, it was a bonus, we didn't know they included breakie for us, so... we were HAPPY just knowing breakie was included!
.
The cafe was a small cosy room on the 2nd level. Looked like a make-shift dining area! But the colors were refreshing and comfortable all at once.

.
I was only upset there were no eggs! There were fried rice, sauteed potatoes, congee, bread, salad, ham, fruits, cereals, milk, coffee, tea, juices BUT no eggs!

I was very upset and started entertaining myself! - Learn how to make a sandwich with Yvonne!

hahahahaha! Yep, that was the unglam me, I had to take the picture.
The funny part was, while we were done with our breakie, I saw the server giving a plate of freshly prepared scrambled eggs to the table behind!!!
.
I then realised our blunder! We could order the eggs! *knock my head!*
.
As always, we took our time to sip the coffee and tea then headed up to our wonderful apartment to get ready. Doll up and feel happy pretty! hahahahaah~ What's new? My power iron!

See, I told you J's photography skill has improved! This is a nice composition.. I love it!
.
Alright, one more before we head out!
Today's itinerary would be around Siam Square, Bonanza Mall, MBK and Siam Paragon!... Perhaps a movie too.. BUT the most important of all was to go to the Erawan Shrine to pay our respects and say our prayers. *enlighten*
.

Hungry anyone?
.
We rushed to Som Tam before lunch time to avoid queue and we succeeded! We reached at 11.45am and got our table. In just a matter of minutes, a queue formed outside! *lucky*
.

See the look on the man's face! All excited and happy...

His favourite garlic chicken wings in a basket!
My favourite and must-have Thai Spicy Pork Soup!
Our favourite Thai Papaya Salad with Fried Fish!
Thai Mango Salad!
We avoided rice and only ordered the dishes. The Fatisfying Meal cost us only 430 THB!
.
Satisfied and happy, we went shopping for things to get for and on behalf of friends, families and colleagues... the amount we spent on them way exceed our own stuff.
.
And of course, soon it was time for pretty-sitting in pretty cafe!
We found one we'd like to try out - Another Hound Cafe by Greyhound at Siam Paragon. The very expensive-looking place that served surprisingly affordable stuff!
Here's my Americano and his Latte....
Also my very interesting parfait in glass... strawberries, cornflakes, strawberry sorbet, vanilla ice cream, dried bananas, mango chunks... YUMMY!

The man decided to try it! He ain't no fruitty man!! See what happened?
Eeeeeuuukkk! He cringed screaming SOUR!! *lol*

Quite a good-looking and cosy cafe restaurant! We must come back again.

He is really not bad huh? *proud*
This tea break cost us 314 THB.
.
After that we took a slow walk from Siam Paragon to the Central Chitlom as J had always wanted to go back to the Food Loft there! And the stupid thing was CAMERAS were not allowed so I wasn't able to snap beautiful pictures of our dinner there... very sad and yes we were law-abiding. But we took some with our mobile phones.. that I must wait for J to help me with the uploading as I am totally and completely clueless...
.
Our dinner at the Food Loft cost 735 THB. We also bought some water on the way back to the apartment close to 7pm. I had my usual cooling coconut drink availabe at every BTS station and J had his bottled water - both cost 28 THB in total.
.
We took the BTS back to the apartment after that to drop our camie and freshen up as we have decided to watch a movie thus camie was not coming along! We hopped into a taxi and zoomed to The Emporium to catch Angels & Demons! Cab fare was 38 THB but we tipped the nice driver so in total we gave in 50 THB. and the taxi back after the movie was also about 50 THB inclusive of tipping.
.
The movie tickets cost 280 THB and a large drink at 40 THB.
.
Damages
Transportation 180 THB
Other Tips 120 THB
Meals and Breaks 1547 THB
Others 54 THB
.
We were drained out by the time we got back to the Apartment after the movie at about 1am.
