TTCT!!!

What's that?? *lol* Taiwan Trip Came True!
.
It was a new city I had wanted to visit since I brought J to Bangkok in 2007. We kept putting it off citing it would be too expensive, we'd need many days off work and we wouldn't be able to cope with our commitments for our parents, our house, our bills and our future... Though it was not affordable for us.. we went to Bangkok 3x and Hong Kong 1x in between!!!! *what?!* What were we thinking but well, 2 Bangkok trips were for and with our parents so... technically speaking, we have gone on 1 Bangkok + 1 HK trip in between??
.
This year our budget is even smaller due to 'Project B'. From Sept 2009 to June 2010, we have spent close to 10K on 'Project B'. It is financially and mentally taxing. J and I both needed a break from everything and for me, I took it as a comfort trip before we embark on our next step of the project from July onwards.
.
We were initially choosing between 5days Taipei or 5daysHK+Macau. Taiwan always gives me the feeling a week is not enough and HK+Macau would be appropriate.. but everyone around us kept on saying 'TAIWAN!!!' and honestly we have been to HK together in 2008. The man wanted to visit Macau. After lots of coming and going, I even had to make a choice of 5 days Taipei in a good hotel or 6 days in a cheaper hotel.. *lol* I chose the latter!!!! It may sound weird but this is truly going to be my LONGEST holiday ever! Some of you are fortunate and has been on long and faraway holidays, I have not and this will be my longest and my furthest holiday. *contented*
.
J had started planning months ago surfing for affordable accommodation and flights. We were lucky Jetstar started flying Taipei and we quickly booked them back in March. *yeay!* AS this was the only 'window' period open for him to apply for days away from work, we knew it is going to be hot in Taipei - Summer time!!! But What the hack! I just want a holiday!!! :D

Counting down was the hard part.. I had to count down for 4 months from the date we made the booking and in between, my good friends, few colleagues all went on theirs! It was really miserable! But when it was my time to go..... they are already planning their next trip! *hmmmmph*
.
So here it is - my TTCT.
