12 Dec - Reluctance

WE went for breakfast at 8am. Amazing.. It's a brand new day but I have not ended the day before - I have not had my sleep... technically speaking; I could just be having a super long day..

Lack of sleep and feeling chilly, M and I requested for a seat by the pool instead of having our breakie in the hotel cafe and they made an exception. Thank goodness.

W was knocked out cold so we didn't include her. Slowly my eyelids were getting heavier and sluggish and they'd just want to close on me. The sun was brilliant, and me too! My brilliant idea - taking a nap under the sun in our bikinis. M couldn't agree more. She's always been so agreeable to me. Thank you M.

The sun was so good but we had to 'surrender' after 45minutes versus the 2 hours we spent on the same spot the day before... we were both perspiring like a running tap but it felt really good. Really really good! I was all smiles.

It was 10.45am when we decided to retreat under shelter and I manage to steal a nap from 11am - 1pm before we checked out at 2pm. Was it enough? Hell NO! But I felt good.

We left our bags with the concierge and ventured out to KLCC for lunch and coffee. Dim Sum Lunch on the top floor

芋角 。。 my favourite but theirs were alittle strange.. the fillings were curry-flavoured!

Their 招牌面 which we thought tasted like 新洲米粉! *giggles*

They were really quite delicious... despite the noodle and yam surprises..

After that we adjourned to Starbucks for.... coffee... Oh.. did I say Wi-fi?? We also shared more on our thoughts and the difference in opinions between Mars and Venus and all. It was a relaxing and nice afternoon sitting there.. just watching the sunshine out in the open while we were comfortably sheltered indoor.

i realized that those who chill out at StarBucks are there for the Wi-Fi... everyone has a lappie or their iPhone with them surfing away.. hey... go home! *lol*

We stopped by Secret Recipe to fins something to fill my 'hollow' system, in case!

the shepard pie wasn't too good!

5.30pm - we hailed a taxi back to the hotel to claim our bags and made our way to the airport and were there by 7-ish. We had dinner at Old Town - local favourites; curry chicken, Ipoh kuey teow and all. The meal was, however, heavy to me... emotionally.

3 tired and somewhat contented souls made their way back to ....... reality and touched down at 11.30pm.

End of My Stolen Getaway

This was a good getaway for me.
Get away from home, family, heavy issues....
Get away from the past and future...
Get away from uncertainties and insecurities...

Perhaps if I could get away from it all, I could find myself.
When can I go for my next?
