I was extremely fortunate to be included in a conference held in our regional office in Hong Kong this July. As always and for ethical reasons, I will not go into details of any work related stuff but elaborate on the general trip itself and the small leisurely side of it.
.
A commotion went on when I was told our flight was going to be the Airbus 380. I didn't know what that meant. Only a day before departure, J told me I was going on the huge airbus that went on huge publicity months back! To me, it was a mere HUGE aeroplane that I, with no choice, had to take. I'd never like taking flights.. I have a whole queasy and uneasy chill just thinking about flying. *sigh*
.
For this 6 days conference trip, my check-in luggage was a whopping 19kg one. I didn't bring anything unusual - merely clothes, toiletries, skincare products; lotsa skin care products, hairdryer and my curling-tong. 19KG! Unbelivable but am not at all ashamed! *lol*
.
Here are a few snaps I took of the plane and the flight, for those who are curious and asked me to do so. *ta-da!*
Here are my feelings about the plane:
- The interior was very clean and also rather new and lack of stale smell; which was wonderful for me. I like clean and fresh anything and everything that I'd have to come into contact with.
- The leg room was a teeny bit wider and my knee did not have to be uncomfortably and tightly tucked at the back of the seat in front of me.
- The entertainment system was much better than other flights as we'd got to choose what we want to watch and hit 'play'; somewhat like on-demand movies. Other flights we'd only get to choose the channels and have no control over playing or stopping the movies. I managed to catch 'The International' and 'Confessions of A Shopaholic' on flight.
- The food was usual, nothing different or spectacular but I enjoyed it anyway.
- The service provided was satisfactory, I have no complaints.
I did not bother to go tour around the the decks or peeped at the suites; guessed I could not be bothered. Haha!
.
Overall, it was an OKAY experience! :)
