Day 1 - Sun 12 July

Our flight to HK on the Airbus 380 was scheduled to take off at 9:45am. J and I decided to have nice breakfast together before I depart and lucky me, my father-in-law drove us to the airport.
.
It was also my first time departing from Terminal 3. I didn't like the terminal; huge, empty and cold. Guess I am still the 'small and cozy' person. Here's my man and our breakfast at Coffee Bean.

My favourite Brek-O-Day with coffee and his usual Egg Sandwich with Tea.

Shortly after our breakfast, I went into the departure lounge. It was a long walk to our gate. I have already mentioned the plane and flight at the Airbus 380 experience so shall not elaborate on it here.
.
We touched down pretty late. We were supposed to arrive in HK at 1.30pm. However, it was 2.15pm when I checked my watch upon touched down. After clearance from customs and waiting for our luggage, it was a little passed 3pm when we got into a taxi to town. The cabfare was HKD 260. Gosh, that was expensive. The weather was hot and sunny and we were all sleepy. I had waken at 6am in the morning.
.
We checked in shortly passed 3.45pm, freshened up and we had to EAT! Walked into a CHA CAN TENG a block beside our hotel and waited for my Malaysian colleague to arrive.

I ordered Roast Goose Noodles. The skin of the roast was nice and nothing else. They also didn't have chopped green chili or red chili.. Very sad.

This Cha Can Teng 'Yuen Kee' is everywhere in Kowloon! Every corner I turned, there was one.
.
My Malaysian colleague, E, arrived shortly after. We went walking, YES, on foot around and about Tsim Tsha Tsui; Peking Street, Nathan Street, Harborcity, Mirama Shopping Centre, Ocean Towel etc.

E and I parted with my Singapore colleagues and went on to meet an old friend of ours.
.
It was a good catch up session. We went to a nice restaurant which J and I had gone to previously as well. If I translate the name of the restaurant as it is, it would mean SWEET DYNASTY in mandarin. How appropriate, they served so many types of yummy Hong Kong desserts.

We ate alot! *blush* We had dim sum, noodles, porridge and desserts! Other than the food, we had a great time catching up.
.
We were there for about 2 hours before leaving for Harborcity. We all left for our hotels about 10pm. We were all staying really close by.
.
Tomorrow will be a very very long day!
