KL - 12 Sept

Alarm went off at 5:45am. *yawn*
.
Past few days had definitety been the most tiring days of my entire life. I have never been so seriously lack of sleep before.
.
Morning, finally had the time to have a decent breakfast. We ate at a stall selling Yong Tau Foo & Fish Porridge near our apartment. I am seriously telling you, I do feel ripped off. My fish porridge cost me RM12! All in all we order a fish porridge & 2 Kuey Teow Soup.., 1 Iced Coffee. This humble breakfast cost us RM45. HELLO... this is Malaysia NOT EUROPE! You must visualise this place with the stretch of River Valley where Boon Tong Kee sits.. RM45 for such ambience & non-expensive ingredients. Sigh!
.
Got to the office at 9am sharp & started working.
.
I had booked taxi uncle to send me back to KL at 3pm to avoid the peak-hour traffic. Over here, I worked on own-time-own-target basis, unless on days we have assignments to accomplish then it will be no-time-no-target.. just work!

.
I went to find a quiet cafe where I can do my work and stumbled upon Secret Recipe in Bukit Bintang at Lot 10. I was so drowsy & hungry. It was 4:30pm when I sat down & I have not taken my lunch.. so I ordered these yummy goodies foodies!
.
What beats the bold aroma of coffee when you are tired & mind drifting away? Hmmm.... Coffee please!!!!! Give me Long Black & just don't give me any kopi-o.. the coffee here su*ks big time I must exclaim repeatedly.
.
I ordered a Grilled Chicken in Black Pepper Sauce served with Buttered Rice. I couldn't tell if it was nice because I was hungry but it was indeed satisfying.

When you eat at Secret Recipe, how can you not order their Chocolate Banana cake?! Yummy.. satisfying!
.

For dinner, we found a very interesting Italian Restaurant along Changkat Bukit Bintang. It looked like a single-storey landed house. Though small in capacity, I must say they managed to create a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere. They have indoor as well as outdoor dining. I was not able to snap the interior as the servers were all around. The outdoor dining, which was what we had chosen, was a small little patio look & feel-alike area on timber floor panelling. There was a small bricked pizza counter behind our table where they prepare your pizza right the minute you placed your order & you could watch them. Behind them sat the vintage almighty old-fashion 'oven'... It was kinda authentic & a refreshing experience. 2 of us dined for about RM80 for a pasta & a pizza & our drinks.

We ordered a ever-so-delicious Hawaiian pizza to share. They made the Hawaiian Pizza so healthy. They used fresh pineapples, those which you still can taste the sourness of the fruit. It also came in really thin crust. We also shared a Vongole & Tomatoes Pasta in White Wine sauce. The Vongole was HUGMONGOUS & JUICY & you could even taste the freshness! It was healthy & yummy.
.
After dinner, we headed on for tea & a small discussion on some unfinish work matters. The interesting thing about Changkat Bukit Bintang is that it houses so many restaurants & cafes with different themes! All small but cool places.

.
We stumbled upon one called RELISH. Its all-white interior with cushy benches & bossa nova background music enchanted me. The modern-victorian chandeliar stood out amongst the modern fibre optics lited the cafe dimly with such elegance & sets you in a relaxing mode.

She ordered a homemade Applepie. It was a simple pie with such effort of decorations. I ordered a mocktail & she had her dose of caffeine with her latte order. We spent about RM 30 in there. THUMBS UP! for both ambience & service! It seemed to be a gathering place for expats living in the area. Any caucasian who walked in seemed to know someone else at any part of the cafe.. strange.. we felt pretty left out there. Haha..
.
After that I went up to my Manager's apartment - SOMERSET Service Apartment at Bukit Ceylon, which sits along Changkat Bukit Bintang. It was a really nice apartment. Would share the pictures in the next post as I am out of memory space here.
.
That night I waited for my room mate at Somerset's as I wouldn't dare to go back to our apartment on my own. She came at 12:30am..
.
I hopped into bed at 1:30am.. Another horrible long day! *yawn yawn yawn*
